Bethesda has announced three downloadable content packs headed to the 360 version of Fallout 3. The first to be released will be “Operation Anchorage,” which allows players to take part in a “military simulation” of the “the liberation of Anchorage, Alaska from its Chinese Communist invaders.” Operation Anchorage is scheduled to release in January. In February, Bethesda plans to release “The Pitt,” in which players can explore the ruins of Pittsburgh, which have become home to raiders. The last pack to release will be “Broken Steel,” in which players join the Brotherhood of Steel in order to “rid the Capital Wasteland of the Enclave remnants once and for all.” Broken Steel is scheduled for a March release.
No pricing details have been revealed at this time.

Over on the official
Fallout 3 forums, Bethesda community manager Gstaff informed the masses that a
Fallout 3 patch is in the works and that it be released for all platforms. Not just the PC. Sadly, that’s all the information we have, but Mr. Gstaff promises us “when I’ve got more details, I’ll let everyone know.”
Our patch recommendation; a nifty Fallout 3 Google map so we never get lost. We don’t want to sound like complaining fools, but we have a tendency to lose our way in the game’s open world which is so big and, well … open. Is there anything else you’d like to see included in a Fallout 3 patch?

Here’s the important info: Planet Fallout has created a Google map of the Capital Wasteland in Fallout 3. It includes a rather exhaustive account of the game’s various quests, important locations, and various other miscellanea (even the locations of NPCs). The site is also accepting user submitted locations, so be sure to drop your favorite spots and Easter eggs (don’t expect it to show up too soon though, as the map is currently flooded with submissions). Be warned that it contains many a spoiler, and you may want to avoid it if you haven’t finished Fallout 3 yet. Given the nature of the game, we’d say that’s a distinct possibility for plenty of gamers out there.
